The Atlantic puffin loves to nest in burrows on the earthy upper windward slopes of cliffs overlooking the ocean. It gives them an opportunity to launch into the wind.

Takin’ Care Of Business
Taken this summer while on contract in Greenland.
My everyday carry for “run and gun” style shooting while expedition filmmaking is a Nikon Z9 with a 180-600mm Nikon and a second camera, a Nikon Z8 with a 24-120. This gives me exceptional range and flexibility in a kit I can carry just about anywhere.

The Raven
In Greenland the raven plays a prominent role in folklore and is intertwined with the culture. Ravens are highly intelligent large birds and live about 15 years, but in captivity can live up to 50 years. This one, as it perched on reindeer antlers looked symbolic, like an overseer keeping watch.

Peek-a-boo
This curious #puffin was checking me out from inside its burrow. Atlantic Puffins have their “pufflings” in in late spring / early summer in burrows on steep banks often above cliffs overlooking the ocean. By mid August they head back to the ocean and leave the fledglings to emerge and fly off on their own.
