The Characters of Main Street Gallery Show
This unique cafe gallery show was inspired by the many unique characters I've had the opportunity to meet on Main Street in Newmarket. Most of the friends on this page were also regulars at the Cardinal Press Cafe where we would say hi, often chat and have a lively exchange of ideas. A former popular meeting place for the locals like us. When the portraits were made and printed, we had a reveal at the same cafe and everyone got to see the live in framed prints of the characters and how I captured them.
I believe a good portrait reveals the character, hidden or obvious, of the people willing to sit in front of my camera.
It's one thing to take a picture of what someone looks like, it's another thing entirely to take an image of who they are...
